Prof. K.C. Majumdar, M.Sc. (C.U.), Ph.D. (U.S.A.), recipient of medals and awards from Chemical Research Society of India, Indian Chemical Society etc., taught in the University of Kalyani, had been UGC Emeritus Fellow, was Associate Professor in liT Kharagpur, visiting Professor in North-Eastern Hill University, visiting and guest Lecturer in various Indian Universities. His research involved synthetic organic chemistry including liquid crystals with over 410 publications including reviews and book chapters. He has edited Wiley-VCH's book, "Heterocycles in Natural Product Synthesis. "

Dr. Paritosh Biswas, M.Sc. (First Class), Ph.D., is teaching Organic Chemistry at Chakdaha College since 1999 and is now Associate Professor. He is also a guest lecturer for PG courses at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College (Rahara) and Acharya Prafulla Chandra College, Kolkata.
